What is pH, and how does it affect me?

pH is the unit that indicates the hydrogen density of water; since our body is 70% water it is important to know the pH level.

It’s all about balance.  The universe operates by keeping everything in balance.  The oceans, rivers, forests, everything needs to be in balance to support life. And the universe within your body is no exception.  The pH of our internal fluids affects every cell in our body.  Constant excess of acidity corrodes the body’s tissues.  When left unchanged, it can affect all cellular behavior and operations, from the beat of your heart to the neural firing of your brain.

Balancing your pH is widely considered to be the single most important thing you can do for your health.  Just as fish cannot live in unbalanced water, our blood cells cannot thrive in an unbalanced environment.

Proper pH                                    Improper ph

fish stitch The human body, except for the stomach, maintains a slightly alkaline pH.  If this is altered and acids are constantly produced, various health problems arise.  Most of us have an acidic body due to acid forming food, negative emotions, pollutants in the air and a stressful lifestyle.  Too much acid hinders absorption of nutrients, slows down the body’s natural healing capacity, and stimulates abnormal cells to grow.  Organic wheatgrass, hailed as “King of The Alkaline Foods”, can neutralize acids better than other vegetables.

Our dietary habits appear to be the major influencing factor for maintaining appropriate pH levels throughout the body.  Our western diet consists of 70% acidic foods which if we were to change that to 70% alkaline foods; our body would function as designed to heal itself.

All organic wheatgrass powders are not the same. Best Organic Wheatgrass, because it combines the roots with the leaves, provides for a milder taste and higher nutritional value. A powerhouse of health giving nutrients for pH balance and overall good health!
