Are all green drinks the same?

glass and leaves1The nutritional status of a person is often thought to be the number one reason why some develop sickness and disease while others don’t. Our daily diet plays a key role in healthy aging and preventing obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and osteoporosis.
Only a small percentage of the population consumes the recommended intake of a variety of fruits and vegetables, providing vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes, phytonutrients and other nutrients.
In humans phytonutrients can have a beneficial effect because of the positive biological responses they elicit, reducing the risk of chronic disease.
Green foods are associated with a decreased risk of chronic conditions. Green drinks are a staple among consumers of natural health products. Once driven by personal testimonies, belief in the health benefits of these drinks has been strengthened by scientific studies.
Wheatgrass drinks are one of those “super foods” that has a powerful combination of nutrients.
That being said there is a vast difference between green drinks.
Frozen juices are harvested with the juice being squeezed out of the leaves, dried and then frozen.
Best Organic Wheatgrass powder is “aeroponically” grown. A process used by NASA, that allows the use of the leaves and roots (the whole plant), not just the leaves as other do.  This is basically a sprouted plant at this point.   It is harvested using a cold drying process, thereby maintaining the enzymes. This is important in digesting our food.
Having the powder in single serving packets has the advantage of being able to take with you on trips, vacations, etc.. and not interrupting your regimen.
